Frits

wide range

As the main component of ceramic glazes, frits are the result of combining different carefully formulated raw materials that are melted in a kiln at temperatures of around 1500 ºC and then quenched, thus giving rise to a new product with a vitreous phase that is insoluble in water. Vernís offers a wide range of frits which cover all the different technologies available today, and include both matte and glossy finishes, for both floor and wall tiles: porcelain stoneware, stoneware, porous single-fired, fast and traditional double-fired. We also offer special varieties such as corrective frits, which make it possible to modify the coefficient of expansion of the glazes, and fusion-coloured frits, as well as others with good melting behaviours.
